The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Visiting Scientist Program, located in Springfield, VA, offers scientists unique opportunities to conduct research in Geospatial Information Science, Physics, Mathematics, Geo-Chemistry, Statistics, Geography, Computer Science, Geometry, Visual Cognition, Nuclear Physics, Astrophysics, Remote Sensing, and many more areas of research.
Applications are accepted ongoing throughout the year. U.S. citizenship is required to complete a SCI security clearance. Applicants should have received or must be completing a master’s degree or Ph.D. (preferred), degree must be completed within past 5 years). Current college or university faculty members willing to go on sabbatical are also eligible to apply. The participant will receive a monthly stipend. The stipend rate is $60-80K+ based upon level of education, training, and experience. Relocation assistance, health benefits, travel and training may be provided.
