Physics Job Center
The Society of Physics Students has 10-12 positions available for summer 2014, in the areas of science communication, outreach, policy, and research. Internship dates are approximately May 28-August 1, 2014, with some flexibility.
The interns live in downtown DC, within walking distance of many of the monuments and the national mall. They work at different physics locations in the DC metro area (including the MD suburbs) depending on each one's particular assignment, but are all part of the SPS program and particate in many social and eduaction activities together (tours, bbqs, cultural outings, etc).
Intern placements typcially include at the Society of Physics Students, the American Instiute of Physics Center for History of Physics, American Physical Society, National Institute for Standards of Technology, Capitol Hill, and possibly NASA Goddard. Other positions may become available as well.

Applicants should have completed at least two years of college physics by the time the internship begins. Applicants must be undergraduate students and should be members of the Society of Physics Students (membership is open to everyone, see http://www.spsnational.org/about/benefits.htm), students graduating in spring 2014 are still eligible.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: Stipend: $4,200 for the 10 weeks Benefits: Housing is provided, travel is reimbursed, commuting expenses are covered
