Ser Cymru Research Associate (Metamaterials and Lasers) Cardiff School of Engineering
The “Science for Wales” Initiative has created an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate within the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering at Cardiff University - based within Cardiff School of Engineering.
This post will support the Sêr Cymru Chair in Advanced Engineering and Materials which is a unique opportunity to build academic excellence around this burgeoning activity founded upon existing areas of strength within the College and leveraging existing partnerships with the compound semiconductor company IQE and small companies within Wales. The post holder will be conducting research in the area of optoelectronic devices with a speciality in advanced semi-conductor (III-V) photodetectors.
This role is full-time (35 hour per week) and is available immediately and fixed term until 31 December 2020.
Salary: £31,656 - £37,768 per annum (Grade 6).
