Applications are invited for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) position in Physics to begin in Fall 2017. A Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field is required. A strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level is required. Applicants must have graduate coursework and research experience in theoretical or computational physics and must demonstrate the ability to mentor undergraduate student research projects. Commitment and ability to work with a diverse student body is required. Prior teaching at the undergraduate level is desired. Evidence of the candidate’s ability to develop an independent research experience involving students is desired. The ability to implement strategies that facilitate student access to and success in high demand introductory courses is also desired.
