The Department of Physics at the University of Dallas is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Physics position beginning August 2017. Applicants must demonstrate a strong passion for undergraduate (UG) teaching and be committed to a liberal arts education. We seek an individual who can teach broadly in courses and labs across our curriculum and develop a publishable research program that includes UG students. We currently have about 50 majors who will complete an undergraduate research thesis and give a professional presentation to complete their B.S. requirements. An experimentalist who can develop hands-on research projects within the department is preferred. We also seek someone to help build our pre-engineering program. A Ph.D. in physics is required.
