The Department of Physics in the College of Science and Mathematics at Kennesaw State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Physics position in Theoretical Particle Physics to begin August 2017. Current research in the department in this area includes perturbative QCD calculations and resummations, top quark and Higgs physics, and high-energy collider phenomenology. Although applicants in all areas of Theoretical Particle Physics will be given full consideration, we are particularly interested in applicants who can complement and enhance the existing research in the department. The successful candidate will be expected to perform world-class research and to seek external funding.
Applicants must have an earned doctorate or the foreign equivalent in Physics or a closely related field, or its equivalent in training, ability, and/or experience. The ideal candidate will have postdoctoral experience, a significant record of research and peer-reviewed publications, and strong potential for developing an externally-funded research program.
