The department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Misericordia University is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Professor in Computer Science. This is a full-time (10 month), tenure track position beginning August 15, 2017. We are seeking a highly qualified candidate who has demonstrated excellence in teaching.
The normal teaching load is 12 credits per semester. Duties in addition to teaching include active and successful scholarship and service to the department, the university and the community. Classes offered include a variety of programming languages, database design, computer organization, data structures and other upper level classes. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in topics such as big data, data mining, or other computer science topics related to statistics.
