The Institute of Quantum Science and Engineering of the Southern University of Science and Technology of China (SUSTech-IQSE) cordially invites applications for several positions in superconducting quantum computing research. Successful candidates will be appointed at a rank of lab technician, postdoctoral fellow, or research assistant professor, based on their research experience and academic qualifications.
Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in physics, or an equivalent field such as material physics or electrical engineering. We seek candidates who have broad research expertise in low temperature quantum transport, nano-fabrication, and vacuum technology. Scholars with research experience in experimental quantum computing -- in particular solid-state-based quantum computing -- will be considered with priority.
Successful candidates will be responsible for pursuing independent research on quantum computing based on semiconducting/superconducting qubits devices at the SUSTech-IQSE, as well as in collaboration with both domestic and international groups in the field. We offer competitive compensation and housing packages. The annual salary will be in the range of 300-450k RMB (~ 45-67k USD, at current exchange rates), dependent on the appointed rank. Qualified candidates will also receive a bonus package (tax free) totaling 1.6-2 million RMB (~ 240-300k USD), to be distributed annually over 5 years. On-campus housing is provided by SUSTech.
We welcome all applicants with a strong interest in pursuing research in quantum computing and quantum information. Applicants should submit a letter of application, a curriculum vita, statements of research (optional), and the names and contact information of at least two references, to Dr. Song Liu at email@example.com.
