EDUCATION DESIRED: MS or Ph.D in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related fields.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform day-to-day systems engineering activities to execute all system engineering processes including: requirements definition/analysis, architecture design, implementation, integration, validation and verification, decision analysis, technical planning/assessment, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, interface and technical data management.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: At least 8 years as lead engineer with demonstrable experience in Systems Engineering
KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: Strong hands-on experience with Systems Engineering tools and processes (IBM/DOORS). Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, Visio) is essential. Ability to work with MATLAB and to generate engineered custom Excel tools for analysis. Experience with data base management.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in use of computers, engineering work stations, complex electronic equipment, oral and written communication, interaction with vendors/colleagues and willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to work well in a team and independently.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Active SSBI is a plus.
