EDUCATION DESIRED: MS in Engineering, Physics, or related field
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: PCB-level design, circuit simulation, test, and troubleshooting of mixed signal circuits including data converters, signal generation circuits, digital and analog signal processing elements, and RF front-end electronics. Programming of PLDs, FPGAs, and embedded processors. Development of software for user interfaces and test automation. Analysis and presentation of measured results.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: 2+ years actively involved with design and testing of mixed-signal integrated circuits such as ADCs, DACs, signal processing circuits, and RF front-end electronics. Experience with laboratory test equipment and characterization of mixed-signal ICs and devices is required. Experience also with digital signal processing, applications of data converters, digital correction techniques, and a strong mathematical background are preferred.
KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: Familiarity with programming environments and programmable hardware. Understanding of circuit concepts, semiconductor device physics, signal processing, and control theory. Use of test equipment control software packages such as LabView or LabWindows, and data analysis tools such as JMP or Matlab.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in use of computers, engineering work stations, test equipment, verbal and written communication, interaction with customers/colleagues, and a team-oriented/fast-paced environment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain/maintain security clearances (post-start) is a plus.
