Job title: West Coast Sales Manager - Materials Science, Electron Spectroscopy, Scanning Probe Microscopy and Molecular Beam Epitaxy Location: Remote home office - Western North America
Develop relationships at material science R&D centers and universities to advance Scienta Omicron’s access and opportunities
Conduct regular customer visits throughout Territory to promote Scienta Omicron business
Own customer relationships to identify new business opportunities and support customer needs
Deliver bookings and revenue commitment, take responsibility for project pricing and cost calculations
Territory Development - Identify potential client targets and develop relationships in the assigned territory to grow the region and increase awareness of Scienta Omicron capabilities. Implement regional marketing campaigns, conferences and exhibitions
Key Account Planning – Conduct analysis of industry trends and customer applications to assess the potential demands that the clients may have for materials science products. Develop short / medium and long term strategies that result in maximizing the opportunities to increase the sales pipeline
Key Account Management - Introduce and ensure client understanding of the Scienta Omicron Materials Science value proposition
Commercial Process Management – manage contractual processes including quotations, bid responses, pricing agreements. Responsible for the management of commercial issues and negotiations in assigned region
Reporting – integrate daily work with CRM software to ensure accurate sales forecasting and reporting on assigned territory
Continuous Improvement-identify opportunities for standardized work and improvement of quality and service with North American team members. Formulate and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
Misc duties as required
Advanced degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience with one or more of the fields of Electron Spectroscopy, Scanning Probe Microscopy and Thin Film Deposition.
Telecommuting is allowed.
