Instructors Department of Physics and Astronomy Western Kentucky University
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Western Kentucky University invites applications for the position of Instructor to fill up to 3 vacancies (contingent upon availability of funding) due to sabbatical and other faculty leave. The term of the position(s) is one academic year beginning August 15, 2017. Minimum qualifications include an MS in Physics, Astronomy, or a related field with 3-5 years teaching experience at the undergraduate level, or a PhD (preferred) with demonstrable undergraduate teaching experience. A possibility of renewal exists based on department need, availability of funding, and performance. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 12 contact hours per semester of Astronomy and Physics classes and laboratories at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum.
