Visiting Assistant Professor
Denison University
The Denison University Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor, with possible continuation for a second and third year, starting Fall 2019. We seek candidates who are vitally interested in teaching physics, and potentially astronomy, at both the beginning and advanced levels. Ph.D. degree in Physics or a related field is preferred, but ABD will be considered, as long as the Ph.D. is completed within one year of the start date. Teaching experience is preferred. We offer mentorship and professional development opportunities to all visiting faculty. The department consists of seven faculty, a dedicated technical assistant, and a full-time administrative assistant. Facilities include excellent equipment for both teaching and research, first class on-site experimental labs, an observatory, a planetarium, and a well-equipped machine shop.
