The National Nanotechnology Research Center of Turkey (UNAM) and the Institute of Materials Science and Nanotechnology at Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, seek candidates for multiple faculty positions, starting in January 2020 onward. The primary responsibilities of the successful candidates will be to establish and develop an internationally recognized research program with a strong focus on high-impact results, in addition to acquiring research funding to support their research and to supervise graduate students. These positions benefit from a reduced teaching load that involves only graduate courses, thanks to a generous grant by the Ministry of Development of the Republic of Turkey.
We seek to hire excellent young researchers in all areas of material science, nanoscience and nanotechnology. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in material science or a related field, including physics, chemistry, biology or engineering. Candidates that bridge disciplines, have synergistic interests with existing research thrusts, or bring unique research perspectives are encouraged to highlight these in their application materials. The openings are targeted at the level of Assistant Professor, but experienced candidates with outstanding credentials may be considered for Associate or Full Professor positions.
