Position Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Develop a new research effort with impact in quantum information science and technology, with the aim of gaining longer-term funding from the US Department of Energy
- Collaborate effectively to further the department’s goals in quantum materials and quantum information
Requirements: - Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, or related discipline
- Solid track record in disseminating research in journal publications and talks at conferences
- Strong research background in quantum information or quantum materials
- Demonstrated experience in quantum materials’ design, synthesis, or characterization (experimental or theoretical)
- Knowledge of potential applications of their research in quantum information science
Other Information: - Occasional travel for attending conferences and presenting research papers both nationally and internationally
