Job Duties:
- Teaching assignment may include a full range of courses within the Physics and Astronomy disciplines.
- Teaching assignment may include a full range of undergraduate courses such as Introductory Physics for non-majors, College Physics, Calculus based physics including Mechanics, Heat, Sound, Electricity, Light and Modern Physics topics, Statics and Electric Currents, and Introductory Astronomy courses.
- Teaching assignment may include day, evening, weekend, and/or on-line courses.
- Teaching responsibilities include teaching courses, maintaining scheduled office hours, advising students, developing curriculum and participating in College service, and professional development activities.
- Leadership in developing and improving our academic courses.
- Community service is encouraged.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Physics or Master’s degree in Astronomy with 18 graduate hours in Physics.
- All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience at the community college level.
- Experience and/or interest in using multi-media/new instructional technology in the classroom.
- Openness to the development of Physics and Astronomy courses online.
- Interest in collaboration relative to our Challenger Exhibit and statewide STEM partners.
