Assistant Professor, Physics
University of Houston-Clear Lake
The University of Houston–Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor of Physics beginning Fall 2021. The successful candidate will assist in innovative growth of the Physics BS and MS programs at UHCL, a non-traditional university located next to NASA Johnson Space Flight Center. The Physics program also has a Collaborative PhD degree through the University of Houston, the Carnegie R-1 Flagship institution in the UH-System. Research collaboration with NASA, other nearby research institutes/companies, or faculty in other disciplines (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Occupational Safety and Health) is encouraged. Required: 1. Candidates must have a PhD in Physics or closely related field. Desired: Experimental background in Materials Science, Condensed Matter Physics or related area. Experience with active learning and PER teaching techniques. |
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
