The Department of Physics is comprised of 21 faculty members with research programs in atomic, molecular, and optical physics; condensed matter physics; and HEPPA. Members of the CSU HEPPA research group work on theoretical pursuits in dark matter, neutrino physics and particle cosmology, and several forefront experiments: the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE), NOvA, the Fermilab Short-Baseline Neutrino (SBN) program, MicroBooNE, EXO-200, and nEXO. Group members study neutrino flavor oscillations and neutrino interactions, search for evidence of sterile neutrinos, dark matter and neutrinoless double beta decay, and utilize high-performance computing for HEP appl...ications (SciDAC4). The HEPPA program has been designated a Colorado State University Program of Research and Scholarly Excellence. Information about the Department of Physics may be found at http://www.physics.colostate.edu. This site also has links to information about Fort Collins and its environs.
