The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM) is seeking an instructor to teach courses in physics, including General Physics, Mechanics, and Electricity & Magnetism, beginning in the spring 2022 semester. OSSM is a residential high school for students in 11th and 12th grades who have exceptional aptitude and motivation to study science and mathematics.
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate degree in physics or a related field
- Experience teaching both introductory and advanced courses including General Physics, Mechanics, and Electricity & Magnetism at the undergraduate or high school level
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in teaching in a residential educational institution
- Experience in teaching advanced high school students
- Experience in teaching virtual or remote classes

OSSM is a full-time public residential program for Oklahoma high school Juniors and Seniors in Oklahoma City. Students from across Oklahoma must apply to attend and are admitted based on their interest in science and math and their academic potential. Courses at OSSM include advanced subjects in math, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, history, literature, and foreign language.
