UPPER SCHOOL PHYSICS TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Mary’s Episcopal School seeks a full-time Upper School Honors and AP Physics teacher to start August of 2022. This teacher will serve as a key member of our Upper School Science Department and will report to the Head of the Upper School. The ideal candidate embraces creating and implementing innovative lessons and projects for students and is willing to support technology integration in the classroom.

Teach Physics as part of a college-prep curriculum at the Honors and AP levels.

Collaborate with other science teachers to ensure consistency and overall excellence in the science program.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. A Master’s degree in science, education, or a related field is preferred.

Demonstrated teaching skills and experience, preferably at the Upper School level.

Ability to integrate technology that provides differentiated learning experiences

Enthusiastic about girls’ education.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active; it requires standing and walking, including stairs. Teachers may be expected to lift up to 50 pounds.
