Full-Time, One-Year Position in Physics

The University of Minnesota-Morris is inviting applications for a one-year visiting professor position for the academic year August 2022 to May 2023. The primary responsibility will be to teach courses in the physics program. These include an algebra-based introductory physics course with lab, a sophomore level course in modern physics, an upper division course in experimental physics, and one other elective course according to the area of interest of the successful candidate. A PhD in physics or related field is required by August 15, 2022. We are seeking an instructor who is committed to excellence in teaching, centering on students while ensuring rigorous standards. Applicants should provide a cover letter, a CV, three contacts of reference, and a statement summarizing relevant teaching experience. Finalists may be asked to provide additional materials. In addition to this one-year position, we also are seeking a one-semester candidate to teach two courses, including astronomy, during the spring semester 2023.
