The Nuclear Spectroscopy Laboratory, RIKEN Cluster for Pioneering Research, Japan is now seeking one Research Scientist (full-time indefinite-term employment position)
Research Field and Overview
The research group has conducted physics studies utilizing RI beams mainly at the RIBF facility. In particular, the group is developing nuclear spin control technologies and applying it to the measurement of spin-related observables such as nuclear spins and electromagnetic moments, in order to elucidate anomalous nuclear structures and properties as well as their mechanisms. The group also aims to extend such technologies to boundary research fields with atomic physics, fundamental physics, and materials science.
Job Description
The successful candidate is expected to proactively conduct research & development in experimental nuclear physics and related research fields. These works should be actively and earnestly conducted under the smooth cooperation with persons involved. The candidate is also expected to contribute to the management of the laboratory.
Qualification
Doctoral degree (or equivalent research ability and background) in the relevant research field.
