The Department of Astronomy & Physics at Lycoming College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning in August 2023. The search is open to all fields of astronomy, astrophysics, experimental physics, and mechanical and aerospace engineering. Lycoming College faculty are dedicated to undergraduate teaching, mentoring undergraduate research as part of their own research agenda, advising students, and participating in service to the institution. The successful candidate will teach a three-course per semester load consisting of undergraduate courses and labs in physics and/or astronomy for majors and non-majors.
