The Department of Physics at the University at Buffalo (UB), The State University of New York is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position in theoretical condensed matter physics/material science at the level of Associate or Full Professor. The successful candidate is expected to build an active research program in the general interdisciplinary area between condensed matter physics and information science, such as data science/artificial intelligence-guided quantum materials design and exploration (including, but not limited to, topological materials, 2D materials, quantum magnets, non-linear optical materials, superconductors), and quantum machine learning.The
