We are looking for Field Service Technician to enlist in our growing team in the US. Bluefors Inc. focuses on delivering product support, service & maintenance, and customer care in North America and Canada. The position requires a 1-2 months long introduction period at headquarters, in Helsinki Finland, after which the work can be stationed in the USA. Applicants need to be legally authorized to work in the USA.
As a Field Service Technician, your job includes on-site service, repair, and maintenance of our cryogenic systems, repair, and maintenance of vacuum systems and pumps, and preparing technical documentation. Work in this role includes a considerable amount of travel, mostly in the USA and Canada, but possibly internationally. You need to have a customer service attitude since you will be on the front line in our customer service and product support. You will of course have the full support of our global support team and our physicists, and you will be working closely with them, so good communication skills are expected from you as well. We would appreciate it if you had some technical education and at least five years of experience in troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems or instrumentation, scientific instrumentation, but those are not mandatory.
Your main responsibilities would be
On-site service, repair, and maintenance of cryogenic systems
Repair and maintenance of vacuum systems and pumps
Customer service and product support
Preparing technical documentation
Collaborating with the global support team and with physicists
What we expect from you
A High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical education appreciated
At least five years of experience in troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems or instrumentation, scientific instrumentation is a plus
A valid driver’s license (minimum 1 year from acquiring the license) is a must-have to visit customer sites
Systematic, independent, diligent personality and commitment to high-quality
