Dark Matter Detection with Quantum Materials Theory Postdoc
Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in science and engineering on behalf of national security. We are seeking a Dark Matter Detection with Quantum Materials Theory Postdoc to join our Group of Condensed Matter and Complex Systems in the Theoretical Division and pursue quantum material discovery towards dark matter detection. The project focuses on identifying novel semiconducting materials with quantum sensing applications. It involves using density functional theory (DFT) and beyond-DFT to perform band structure property analysis, calculating the dielectric function and working closely with experimentalists to refine the materials understanding.   Requirements: PhD in phys
