Tenure-Track Assistant Professor: Astrophysics
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Tufts University (Medford, MA, https://as.tufts.edu/physics) invites qualified candidates to apply for a tenure-track position in Astrophysics starting September 1, 2023. The Tufts Physics and Astronomy Department consists of seventeen tenured or tenure-track faculty and has strong research programs in high energy physics, condensed matter, cosmology and astrophysics. The Astrophysics group currently consists of two faculty who, as observational extragalactic astronomers, conduct an active and well-funded research program that provides research opportunities to  5-10 undergraduates and graduate students each year. The Tufts Astrophysics group has successful observing programs with ground-based and space-based facilities such as JWST. T
