Jacksonville State University (Jacksonville, Alabama) Department of Chemistry, located in the Department of Chemistry and Geosciences, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of physics to begin in August 2023. The applicant should demonstrate a firm commitment to undergraduate education and student mentoring. The candidate will be required to teach fundamental and upper-level physics courses. Applicants should exhibit engaging and inclusive teaching and research practices. We currently offer a minor in physics and many service courses for other disciplines; we require someone willing to help us grow our program and potentially re-establish a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
