The Center for Computational Sciences at Mississippi State University will be hosting a summer REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) program during May 30 - August 4, 2023 sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The application deadline is March 31, 2023. This program is aimed at involving undergraduate students in active research under the supervision of faculty who are dedicated researchers and mentors at the CCS, an interdisciplinary computational research center at MSU. The major concentration will be in computational methods and their applications in materials science. The program is multidisciplinary, with mentors from the Mississippi State University departments of Chemistry, Physics & Astronomy, and Mathematics & Statistics. The objectives are t
