Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Biological Physics.
The post is available initially for a fixed-term duration of 2 years, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
This project will develop and exploit Single-molecule investigation of rotary molecular motors.
The successful candidate will undertake independent, collaborative research in the research areas of the Berry lab.
Applicants should hold or close to completing PhD in biophysics, physics, or a related field to the research area of the role.
Previous experience in any of the following fields will be an advantage: Single-molecule biology. Optical microscopy. Fluorescence microscopy. Lasers. Design and construction of optical experiments.
Candidates are expected to have a strong record of personal research and achievement, very good communication/scientific report writing/presentation skills, the ability to work well independently as well as in a team, and strong self-motivation.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to teach.
