Postdoctoral Research Associate - Plasma Theory & Modeling
Overview: Oak Ridge National Laboratory is the largest US Department of Energy science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and applied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems in energy and security. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher who will focus on developing and using a hybrid kinetic-fluid simulation for predictive simulations of tokamak disruption mitigation. The project will focus on determining the efficacy of, and recommending optimizations for, the disruption and runaway electron mitigation system planned for ITER and future reactors.
