Staff Research Physicist - Computational Science
PPPL has an early career staff research position open in the area of computational plasma physics to play a key role in the application and development of the Gkeyll code to astrophysical systems. The successful candidate will develop novel plasma simulations methods based on the discontinuous Galerkin family of algorithms, focusing primarily on application to the plasma astrophysics of black holes, neutron stars and other extreme astrophysical events. Ability to also apply the algorithms to fusion and space plasmas is required. A strong background in plasma physics, computational science and parallel computing is a must.
