Associate Research Physicist
PPPL has a postdoctoral position open in the area of Computational Plasma Physics, to play a key role in the application and development of the Gkeyll code, which uses advanced discontinuous Galerkin algorithms to simulate plasmas with various levels of fidelity. We seek an energetic applicant who wants to be at the forefront of high-performance computing with applications to fusion energy research. This work supports a project that aims to understand physics of self-consistent evolution of the equilibrium within the gyrokinetic equations, though significant flexibility exists to work on other concepts. Further, the work will also support DOE Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing (SciDAC) projects. This is an entry-level position at rank of Associate Resea
