We have an opening for an Energetic Materials Research Scientist to conduct research in reacting mixtures of energetic materials exposed to abnormal thermal environments such as fires. You will actively participate in the modeling and simulation of coupled fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and chemical kinetics of reacting mixtures. This position is in the Reaction Dynamics group of the Materials Science Division. In this role you will Collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers to conduct research in modeling and simulation of reacting solid-liquid-gas mixtures. Frame open-ended real-world problems into well-defined multi-physics problems. Develop mathematical and empirical models from experimental data.
