Applications of Statistical Methods to Advance Fusion Energy Research - Postdoctoral Researcher
We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join a team developing and applying novel tools for the interpretation of current tokamak experiments and design of fusion reactors. The role will involve working with physicists and applied mathematicians, using tokamak divertor simulation models UEDGE and BOUT++ to analyze experiments, automating the analysis workflow and applying adaptive sampling techniques to efficiently quantify uncertainties. This will provide opportunities for physics discovery and contribute to the design of divertor components that are critical to fusion reactor power handling. This position is in the Fusion Energy Sciences Program within the Physics Division. In this role, you willPerform UEDGE
