Radiation Physics Postdoctoral Appointee
What Your Job Will Be Like: The Radiation Experiments department is seeking a postdoctoral appointee to collaborate on innovative research in the areas of high-energy-density (HED) radiation sources, x-ray spectroscopy, and applied atomic physics. The department primarily performs research using the Z machine, the world’s largest pulsed power generator and one of the nation’s three major HED physics facilities. This position will involve collaboration within the department, the Pulsed Power Sciences Center at Sandia, and the national High Energy Density Physics community to address key questions in creating and understanding HED plasmas and x-ray radiation .
