Tokamak Spectroscopy Diagnostics and Analysis - Postdoctoral Researcher
We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of plasma physics, working on, and interpreting data from spectroscopy diagnostics on a tokamak device. The research aims to develop a predictive understanding of tokamak edge and divertor physics for ITER and fusion pilot plants (FPPs). This will be done by supporting a suite of spectroscopic systems on the DIII-D tokamak at General Atomics which observe plasma emissions from the extreme ultraviolet through to infrared wavelengths at multiple optical resolutions. This position is in the DIII-D Collaboration Group, Fusion Energy Program of the Physics Division, based in San Diego, California. In this role you will Provide spectroscopic measurements on DIII-D, pa
