Scientist—Fusion Energy
The DIII-D National Fusion Facility is the principal magnetically confined fusion experiment in the United States. Its research focus is the science and control of the burning plasma state. DIII-D scientists work toward the exciting goal of establishing the physics basis needed to make fusion energy a reality.General Atomics is searching for qualified scientists to perform research at DIII-D in one of several potential areas. Scientists at DIII-D work with a large degree of independence and have the opportunity to do pioneering research on a highly adaptable tokamak with excellent control and measurement capabilities. The successful candidate is expected to be skilled in plasma physics, control, diagnostics, and/or modeling. As DIII-D has over 500 scientific participants fro
