Scientist—Fusion Plasma Control
General Atomics operates the DIII-D National Fusion Facility, which is the principal magnetically confined fusion experiment in the United States. Its research focus is the science and control of the burning plasma state. DIII-D scientists work toward the exciting goal of establishing the physics basis needed to make fusion energy a reality. General Atomics is searching for qualified scientists to join the Plasma Control Group in the Experimental Science Division of DIII-D. This group conducts leading plasma control research in a range of facilities around the world, including DIII-D and ITER—one of the largest scientific programs in history that seeks to demonstrate the scientific and technological feasibility of fusion power.
