Xcimer Energy is currently seeking a computational physicist or engineer with deep experience in modeling electrodynamics, Fourier optics, and linear and non-linear optical devices. Ultrafast optics knowledge is preferred, as well as a strong background in statistical and nonlinear optics. Prior experience with nonlinear optics in plasmas as well as in neutral gases and solid-state devices is ideal. Strong coding expertise including parallelization and proper use of hybrid (CPU/GPU) platforms is most welcome. This position would work with Xcimer Energy staff in the development of computational tools and software for modeling material response and 3D optical propagation in fluid media (plasma and neutral gas) including dielectric fluctuations and both SRS and SBS interactions.
