The Condensed Matter Theory (CMT) Physics group at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar research position. The primary worksite for this position is the UC Davis Physics and Astronomy Department in Davis, CA.  Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Theory Physics or related area(s) prior to beginning employment. 

Professor Alex Thomson invites applicants for a postdoctoral research position in Condensed Matter Theory. Research will focus on various aspects of moiré heterostructures, topological materials, unconventional superconductivity, and other strongly correlated phases of matter. 

This is a full-time, 2-year postdoctoral scholar appointment with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory job performance, continuing availability of funding and ongoing operational needs. Candidates must have less than 3 years of paid postdoctoral experience.  Salary for this position depends on experience level.  This position is represented by a union for collective bargaining purposes and may be subject to a background check.
